Monthly Meeting Update: September 2026

The membership met at the Nashua Public Library on September 21, 2026, for our monthly meeting. We had 22 members in person and two members joining via Zoom. President Mac Johnston presided over the meeting and recapped the recent board meeting.

This month marked the return of the model kits from last year’s Yankee Swap. Each December, members participate in our model kit Yankee Swap, build their kits over the following months, and bring them back to the September meeting. We then hold a raffle among the participants. This year’s lucky Yankee Swap Raffle winner was Rich Filteau!

We had 10 kits return this year, and they made an impressive display. Several additional Show and Tell models were also on display, making for a full and impressive model table.

We wrapped up the meeting with President Mac Johnston reviewing judging practices and procedures for members interested in volunteering as judges at our upcoming GraniteCon on October 18th.

And, of course, no meeting would be complete without our regular raffle! Congratulations to Jim Rondos, Andy Kitt, and Brent Morrison, our raffle winners.

The Granite State Modelers Club is a group of scale model builders who enjoy creating models of airplanes, tanks, cars, boats, trains, starships, and just about anything else you can imagine.Founded in 1984, our club brings together modelers of all skill levels who share a passion for the
hobby.

We meet monthly to discuss the latest projects our members are working on or have completed during our Show and Tell session. Members share their experience, knowledge, and techniques for building, detailing, and painting scale models. We also discuss news, products, and
developments related to our hobby.

Whether you're an experienced modeler or just getting started, the Granite State Modelers Club is a great place to meet fellow enthusiasts, learn new techniques, share your work, and enjoy the hobby together.

The Granite State Modelers Club holds weekly build sessions via Zoom. Come join us as we build our kits, share techniques, ask and answer modeling questions, and show off our progress.

We meet Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday afternoons from 1 pm to 4 pm.
